United Airlines Adding New Direct Daily Flights Between RDM and LAX--Beginning April 9th 2018

Beginning April 9, 2018 Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM) will add a new daily nonstop flight to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).  The new service will be provided by United Air Lines.

The flight will become the region’s second direct route to Los Angeles, competing with American Airlines’ who is currently the only carrier with direct routes from RDM to LAX.

The new flight will build on United Airlines’ existing network from Redmond to San Francisco and Denver, giving United customers in Central Oregon another large hub to reach other destinations.

RDM and the Central Oregon Air Service Team (a collection of volunteers who help attract flights to the region) are pleased to see United Airlines offer the new daily LAX flights and reminds the public to support the new air service and that having a second flight to an existing destination offers travelers a chance to take their preferred airline to Southern California.

Zachary Bass, Airport Director says, “The additional capacity these United flights will add, are a great benefit to the Central Oregon communities. RDM experienced record breaking passenger numbers last year.  This proves air carriers are continuing to notice RDM’s growth.”

The daily United flight will depart from Redmond at 6:12 p.m. and land at LAX at 8:06 p.m.

The return flight will leave Los Angeles at 3:22 p.m. and land in Redmond at 5:42 p.m.
