Air Carrier and Snow Storm Cancellation Information

Jan-3-2017

Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM) is diligently working to keep the airfield open in snow and ice conditions.  Safety is always the most important factor if the RDM decides to temporarily close the airfield.

Air carriers that serve RDM may make their own decisions to cancel flights due to weather conditions.  Some air carriers serving RDM have made decisions to cancel flights today and tomorrow based on weather conditions and forecasts in RDM and/or the destination airport.

Passengers are encourage to verify flight information with their air carrier.  WWW.flyrdm.com provides helpful links to the air carriers serving RDM.

Safety is always first at RDM.  When arriving in snow and ice conditions, allow extra travel time, wear appropriate footwear with traction and “walk like a penguin” short, small steps.  The terminal curb parking restrictions are enforce, no parking, no waiting.  The curb is for active loading/unloading only.  Avoid the $50.00 citation for terminal curb violations, park in the pay parking lot. Paid parking rates at RDM:

  • $1.00 for 30 minutes
  • 31 plus minutes is $2.00 per hour
  • Maximum is $10.00 per day
  • 7th day of consecutive parking is free
  • The whole pay parking lot is one rate, there is no long or short term parking.

The Redmond Municipal Airport (Roberts Field - RDM) is the aviation gateway to Central Oregon. Owned and operated by the City of Redmond, the airport offers a full range of general and commercial aviation services.  RDM is served by four airlines; Alaska Air, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and United with direct flights to Denver, Los Angeles, Portland, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, and Seattle.  For more information please visit us online at www.flyrdm.com.
